Art Teacher

Description

SJSA seeks an innovative and passionate photography teaching artist who is eager to participate in the Visual Arts After- School  Program of this dynamic nonprofit organization.

This After-school class focuses on the artistic process, the principles and elements of design, and creativity.Though the ideal candidate has some experience teaching the fundamentals of photography teaching training and curriculum development support is provided at SJSA. 

EXPERIENCE:1-5 years of teaching experience is preferred. As part of non-profit organization , the candidate must be committed to working and collaborating with adolescents and supporting their academic, social, and emotional growth. Collaboration with community partners is also  required.

Ballet Teacher

Description

We are seeking a dynamic, engaging individual that will be responsible for teaching dance lessons to SJSA students age 5 and up.

Proficient in teaching ballet, tap, and jazz; hip hop a plus;

  • Articulate instructions in an effective manner;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and in-classroom leadership qualities;

  • Upbeat, caring, positive attitude with good communication, and strong observational skills;

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a class;
