Through a grant from the VI Department of Labor and the Virgin Islands Legislature, SJSA hosted summer interns who gained valuable experience learning about nonprofit organizations and building community partnerships. They also job-shadowed the Executive Director, Office Manager, and Teaching Artists. Students developed skills in budgeting, grant writing, creating program proposals, supporting teacher training and monitoring, and constructing carnival costumes.
